Units have a lot of variety from the Rats capable of rushing early to the High Legion endgame. Very fast speed to upgrade their Excavation with no general slowdowns (unlike the Rana they don't lean too far into one resource) although leans a bit to wood than stone. Loth : Main resources are Ancient Amber (Legion) and Celestial Ore (Toxicologists). Also to note they have a good way to level up their wielders fast using Mehry to rush into the Tutor skill. and finishing off with the hammer of the Harima or the AoE via Helroar or spells. Playstyles generally revolves around funelling the enemy to a kill zone using barricades/mines, Pikemen, Repel, Swap, etc. Units are mostly melee, and all their ranged units have to reload (ironically kinda makes them vulnerable to return fire). However, they overall have sub-par defense, and lower than average initiative. Very offensive with excellent damage and board control from their units (somewhat from their spells too). average speed to build their fortress and leaning heavy on stone (albeit a bit slower to get their super-unit than Arleon due to heavy leaning on Celestial Ore for upgrades). Dragons are hard to build up, but also hard to counter without significant resources from the opponent (beware of Judegment spam though).īarya : Main resources are Celestial Ore (Helbreath) and Ancient Amber (Brutes). Generally leaning towards getting the first turn, charging essence, and blasting spells for board control, debuff, and AOE damage with units rushing in later for the kill. Units sub-par initially, but becomes better as upgraded (especially with Rider of the Swamp double-dipping) with top-tier initiative. Generally fast upgrade to tier 3 Camp, but slows down considerably after due to heavy leaning on wood (even more if you want to go the dragon route) forcing a fast explore & expand. Rana : Main resources are Glimmerweave and Ancient Amber (Dragons mainly, but also for Chelun Elder). Heavy empahsis on deployment and unit formation, and to disrupt the enemies formation by using spells. Generally resorts to a defensive playstyle from the adequate board control and excellent buffs/debuff from both units and spells. Good variety of unit options and a high range and defensive capabilty overall. Average speed to build their fortress and leaning heavy on stone (albeit bit faster than Barya to get their super-unit due to balanced resource costs for upgrades). Twitch-MindGameslol's excellent skill tree: General stuff that people tend to miss is that skills aren't totally random, but have prerequsite skills for unlocks and different Wielder classes have different prerequisties. It's not explained in the game nor in the codex. Learn how to level up your Wielders (Heroes), as that will be a great tip for new players that'll watch your stream.
